Ugh!! Ok, so Wednesday night dh and I woke up to a LOUD pop in the house. Sounded like a gun shot! Turns out it had started storming in the night and lightening struck the telephone pole right beside our house and fried the mother board on my computer!! We went yesterday and bought a new one, had all my info from my old hard drive transferred to the new computer, and picked it up today. Now I'm trying to figure out how to retrieve everything and get all my old favorites back. Man I'm so irritated! But glad to be back online.

At least you get a new computer out of it. And no one was hurt. Always look on the bright side of life....

That stinks....Did you get your old hard drive back too. If you do your favorites are stored in C: documentsandsettings/(yourusername)/favorites If your hard drive was not corrupted you can put it into your new computer. It would be corrupted if the computer was on. A lot of the stuff you just have to start over I'm sorry. You may want to get an UPS they look like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16842164001 We were told about it after lightning hit our computer a couple of years ago.

Ugh!! I'm glad you're back on line and your hard drive was salvageable! It stinks having to get things back to the way you like them.
