My husband owns a lawn and tree care business and was at a house working today and noticed a lady out in her yard doing school work with her kids so he went up to her and started talking to her about homeschooling....he told her about the trouble we are having getting our 6 year old interested in anything besides math and she gave him this book on creative ways to get him motivated and then she said she uses the same curriculum that I am going to be using and shared with him a site to get it all used and then told him about a skating session at the local skating rink just for home schoolers....YAY I love how involved he is about it and how he took the risk of starting a conversation with this stranger to benefit me and the kids...How awesome is that! So now I have a great resource for used curiculum and a activity for us every friday and he also said she is in the same co op that I am joining so I will get to meet her and thank her for the book!!!...YAY Thanks for letting me share!!

That's because homeschoolers are better than everyone else.

Just kidding. Glad you found a great resource!

No, I am not just kidding! We are great to and for each other!

What a cool coincidence!

My Dh was against homeschooling in the beginning and now he does the same thing- advocating for it with people at work. It's actually been reassuring for him because he's since found out about other guys at work who homeschool their kids too. He also advocates for homebirth with just about any expecting couple he meets on the job. It's funny how they these manly men will talk with each other about homeschooling and birthing, even breastfeeding sometimes. It's great!
