Okay, so I told you about my dilemma with sending the 5 yr old to Kdg. Well I finally decided to keep her home instead. But then Dh wasn't so sure and the 5 yr old was really upset. She wants to go to school!

So I found a community program that is meant for kindgarteners (or I should say their parents) who just can't get enough school time and want more kindgergarten. It's just one afternoon a week- I think 2 hours. They do art, music, gym, computer, letters, numbers, etc... So I'm thinking that might be a good compromise for her. She can "go to school" just one afternoon a week and then be home the rest of the week. I talked to Dh and he is happy with that solution so I think that's what we're gonna do. Just thought I'd share.

Sounds like a good compromise.

That's great, glad you found something that works! My DD is 4 and was asking the same thing until she started her dance class once a week. Now she feels like she "goes to class" too. It's nice and we like having that sense of independence for her as well.

I'm glad, she'll be really happy with that because it's not to much.
DS use to get confused when the parents / kids would ask what school he went to because to him karate is school.
