Oh, really well!! We put in an offer, and it was accepted... we're now waiting for the seller to ratify the contract, and that should be done by this Monday, and then it will be officially under contract! After that... well, we'll see how inspections and things go. I think we should know for sure if we'll be getting the house by the end of the month!!

Yay! It is so hard to wait though. Our process took longer than normal and it about killed me. Keep us up to date on it all.

Okay, the house is under contract now! YAY!!

We have an inspection happening on Thursday (yes in two days) at 9:00am, and then things start moving from there. After the inspection is done, the assessment must be done, which is the responsibility of the current owner (which is a bank-- apparently it is a foreclosure, so that's why it is so cheap for what we're getting). After the assessment and inspection are done, if there are no major problems and the bank repairs things that obviously need fixing (like the fact that the breaker panel wiring is all exposed, which is against code), then the bank will have to do a wood damaging insect inspection and extermination of any pests found. If, of course, there are termites or some other insect found, and the damage is extensive, we can back out then and there, but we didn't see any evidence of termites anywhere, so hopefully that will turn out okay. After all the inspections and things are done, we have to wait on our bank to see if they will decide to let us get the house (they're great that way... they won't let first time buyers get into too much trouble in purchasing a house). Hopefully this is all going to work out with the end being that we get to close on June 30! :-)
