We are not there yet with Scotty and Bryce is not homeschooled. I guess I really can't help. I can say that I am a writer and have always loved to write (my BA is in English/Technical Writing). My thought would be to find his niche and help him expand on it. I loved writing short stories about tons of things - whatever my ind could come up with. And then when I got a little older, I enjoyed personal narratives. I got my start in those things that I truly enjoyed.
Talen has Writing Strands but we have stopped using it for now. He is 6.5 and I just don't think he is ready for it yet. For lack of a better description he simply finds it boring. I am going to try it again next year but right now it is not working for us.
