I have my very first portfolio review Monday afternoon for my 7th and 3rd grader. I am alittle nervous!! Any Advice for me? I am trying to pick the very best work(I saved everything in accordion folders). I am going to print out pix of artwork and phys ed activities. Although I haven't taken alot of pix of PE. I am putting everything into notebooks. Any tips would be appreciated!!

Best of luck! I have no advice sorry I've never done a portfolio review tell us how it goes. A couple other people do portfolio's so they'd be able to give you advice.

Just relax! We don't have portfolio reviews here, but my parents did when I was homeschooled and it was never a big deal.

We do them here but all i do is drop if off and they call me when they are done..it's only at the end of the year. I usually look at it like this..I am making a memory book for myself and allowing them to look at it.

Just wanted to update...our review went well!! I am sure we passed...well she said I can't tell you officially..but unofficially it is excellent! That made me sooo happy since this is our first year homeschooling...and I kinda created my own curriculum. A little bit from everywhere. My 7th grader they rated as advanced on grade level my 3rd grader they rated advanced above grade level. They went through everything with a fine tooth comb...that kinda surprised me. I didn't think it would be so extensive. The letter said 30-45 minutes per child...turned out to be 90 minutes per child! I really feel good though now...any doubts about pulling my own curriculum are gone. Oh and thanks so much for whoever introduced us(me) to Home School Tracker back in August! Its been a lifesaver and was soooo easy to print and put right into the portfolio with everything else.
