I have really been feeling led to homeschool my kids over the past two years. My husband on the other hand does not want to.

I have done a lot of research and gotten some great information to counter any negative thoughts he may have on homeschooling. Really and truthfully I just don't think he is really giving it any genuine consideration...

I guess what I'm hoping to fnd on here is any advice, links, persuation techniques and mainly prayers that will help put my mind at ease. either by the Lord showing me through you all or showing my husband and I both that this is going to happen or not going to happen.

I appriciate any and all comments and feedback...

Many women have had great success by praying that their husband's heart be softened to homeschooling.

Prayer is something I do all the time... not just for homeschooling, but that'll he'll learn to love God as well. He's agnostic.

If they're in public school now, maybe you can try homeschooling over the summer to see if he can see what kind of results would happen.
My husband agreed to homeschooling before we even got married (he knew it was a biggie with me), but he still remains anxious about making sure they'll be up to date with the public schoolers.

Can you guys maybe try one year of homeschooling? Also, I'd recommend the book "A Thomas Jefferson Education" by Oliver DeMille. It's absolutely wonderful, and it's techniques can be applied even if your children public school.

My oldest son's dad was totally against homeschooling. I prayed for his heart to be changed just last summer...and it was! And he is an athiest...

Just keep praying. If this is really what God wants for your family, your dh will come around.

Good luck to you. The only thing I can say (aside from praying of course ) would be to ask if he is willing to allow you to try it over the summer or for one year, and see what the results are.

What is it specifically that he's worried about? That will help narrow down answers too.

Depending on your kids ages ask to try it out for kindergarten.
