We are planning on homeschooling our girls when the time comes but I'm wondering what I should be doing with my oldest now to get her ready?

She is not talking quite yet, but she does follow directions pretty well. (Go get your blue duck, put your blue duck in the basket.) We are reading everyday and having 'conversations' about what we see (out the window, on TV, on the way to the store..)

Any other ideas of what will help get her ready for official homeschooling?

You may want to read math stories. Other than that coloring, play-dough, and beaded necklaces will all help with eye hand coordination.

I'm teaching my 17 month old the alphabet (The Amazing Action Alphabet), but only when he's interested. I'm also teaching him sign language, though he isn't deaf, I thought it'd make a neat second language.
