We spent a few more days in DC then expected, we got in a lil accident (Oddly enough, the ambasidor of mosambiqe (s) hit us in the read tire while turning) there and were stuck.

But we didnt let that get us down and still had fun. I will post pics very soon!

Welcome back! Ambassadors are notorious for horrible driving around here.

Well WE got a ticket and WE had to pay for our deductable because it is a no fault state. I think its because he was govmt. The officer was nice though. He said he HAD to give me a ticket, so he looked in his book and found one for only 25$, the lowest fine with no points.
It was wild. We had the white house secret service there and like 5 cop cars blocking up 7th st for a mild accident ( I had no body damage, thats how mild it was). It prolly looked like they cought some terrorist threat to anyone walking by. I told the SS woman how its wierd they will send all these people for an ambasidor, yet do nothing to help us, the americans. (Our car was undrivable because the rear tire was bent in, thats another hellish story getting OUT of DC back to MD where we were staying). And she said she cant say anything, but nodded and smiled.

Other then that, we did have fun. I will post pics of everything the end of the weekend. We are moving my mom and everytime we are done, I am too exausted to mess with them lol.

It's not so much that it's a no fault state but that it was an ambassador who hit you. They have diplomatic immunity and are treated like kings. It is ALWAYS the other person's fault no matter who caused the accident if an ambassador is involved. It's totally ridiculous, especially since they tend to drive so horribly, but that's why the policeman gave you the least possible fine. They know how ridiculous it is.

Okay, now that is just ABSURD. I understand NOT ticketing the ambassador because he was all special and stuff, but to ticket someone that was totally not at fault is just beyond wrong!

Oh well, it sounds like you had a great time in spite of the issues. Glad you're back!
