It's going to take three days to get through one day of school.

Yesterday Ani went with my mom and cousin out to lunch. So we only did part of school before she left.

Today we did some school, but the attitudes and behavior, particularly of Ani, were horrid. Last night she got in trouble for mouthing off and so she wasn't allowed to read before going to sleep last night and the light had to go right off. She kept jumping up every 5 minutes until *11:45* to tell us she couldn't go to sleep. So needless to say she is tired today and in a foul mood. So learning was definitely not happening so I said forget it.

We read Moonlight on the Magic Flute (newest Magic Treehouse) instead.

Hopefully tomorrow we'll actually finish this day of school.

I hate it when that happens! I notice that DS has an attitude just about everytime he's spent a lot of time with his friend next door. I swear, those two are bad influences on each other!

Oh man, we have definitely had days like that around here! Yesterday in fact! Except we didn't have school to try to get through.

Yep...attitudes are part of the reason we have had 2 weeks off of even light "summer" school.

Stopping school and just reading a book was the best thing I ever could have done. After I read the book I made lunch, we ate, and then when my mom came home from work she had lunch and then we watched the first Harry Potter movie (we're going to watch one every week or so in the lead up to the next movie). All bad attitudes have completely disappeared and we've had a downright pleasant afternoon.

I hear you. The weather has been so nice, I've had a hard time getting the boys to sit still for longer than a couple minutes at a time.
