Its a 1880s domestic sewing machine. I love antique stuff, and this caught my eye! I paid 50$ for it. I think thats a steal!!

It has all origional attachments, spindals and needles included.

We have a Singer that belonged to my husband's great-grandmother. I am not a huge fan of antiques, but they are neat to look at.

My sister also has a Singer that was our great-grandmother's. She re-finished it and now it's gorgeous!

I am thinking about refinishing it. Does that decrease itsw value or increase it? I watch that antique roadshow and always see people who refinished stuff, and they find out it was a BAD move.

I also have a 300 yr old german bible I found at a garage sale, and it needs rebinding. But again, I am afraid to lol.

That is a steal! We were just at an auction last week where one sold for $180! It was a Singer though. Looks very similar to the one you got. Great deal!

Singers are later models I believe. I did a little research on them, and the Domestics like this are older then singers. When Singer did come out with one, domestic started to replicate them.
