Is it simple to make this one more secular or is the religion weaved into everything? I just looked at it and it looks cool but I don't want a lot of religion...

Thanks

I think you could skip a lot of religion. Anything's possible. Some people even make Sonlight secular!

I think it's totally possible to make it secular.

It twists some things to give it a more Christian bent, and this is coming from a Christian. I had issues with it after buying the book bc I found some inaccuracies, and some statements that were questionable. That said I love the ideas in the book but wouldn't use the book for basing my facts on. KWIM?

What else do you use for history, if you don't mind me asking?
*Edited... nevermind I figured it out while looking through other posts that talked about history programs.

Do you have to buy other books to make this work or can you use it alone? I looked at it today and it seemed pretty boring for a 2nd grader. No color pictures or anything.

I think there are a few other books needed like a blank map book and such, but other than that I think they have suggested books to read with the sections. If you take a look at the sample pages it has an example of the lesson which includes other things needed or suggested Galloping the Globe by Loree' Pettit and Dari Mullins .

There is another geography/history program the company offers which is Trail Guide to World Geography Trail Guide to World Geography by Cindy Wiggers I read that it is a little more secular than the other, but it is for 2nd grade and up.
