In your normal school week, do you have a day that you usually set aside for fun stuff, field trips, catching up on work, etc., or is everyday pretty much the same? For us, we do park days on Fridays with local groups or individuals. If there isn't anything going on, we usually do a field trip. We still have school work (usually), but it's limited.

I've only just started organizing us and trying to do preschool at home, so we only shoot for 3 days a week for a couple hours a day. We'll see how that goes. It'd have to be year round if we did it like that when they're older. We'll see how it goes. I think the ability to mix it up is one of the appeals of homeschool.

When I get into doing it properly I am going to have a "fun" day, but will try and theme the day around what ever work we have been doing in the week. Will prob do it on a Friday.

We usually set aside Friday's as our special outings day. We do field trips and some other homeschool activities with our network on other days whenever they get scheduled.
