She finished her math today and took her "final exam" and passed with flying colors!!! It is the same test that is used as the placement test and when she took it at the beginning of the year, she scored I think it was a 31%, she passed with 90% today!! She was SO excited!!! She finally gets the concepts now! Off to second grade math we go!! I just cant say enough about Math Mammoth!

Good for her!!!!!

I'm right there with you. Now that we've started R&S, Ben's actually doing *gasp* speed drills?! What's up with that?! He really is learning facts in his head w/o having to use manipulatives. He's eating it up! His handwriting is a million times better (although he still writes 9 backwards most of the time), and he's well on his way to 2nd grade math. I think I could probably switch to 2nd right now with a bit of a slow start, but I don't want to frustrate him. We're going to stick with 1st through the summer and start with 2nd next Fall. His confidence is going way up!
