I know a lot of PS are going away from even teaching cursive.

Oh. In that case, I use and teach a mix of the two, but I lean toward traditional.

I learned with loops, so that is my preference (although I'm not a big fan of cursive at all and haven't used it since elementary school aside from my signature). My 2nd grader learned it the same way in PS.

We are doing sort of a mix between the 2 and lean more towards the traditional as well. I have seen too that a lot of schools are doing away with cursive all together. I think it is important to have the skill to be able to write.
