Hi! I am new to the homeschooling thing and have been told about the Every Child is Spatial Curriculum - has anyone ever used it? What did you think? It seems like a really good deal - but I am nervous about buying curriculum and not having a clue about what I am doing. Any advice? Help!! Thanks!
I haven't used this particular curriculum, but I'm familiar with the concept. Rather than teaching each subject independently, it teaches all of them at the same time using an integrated theme. There's a private school in my area that uses the same type of curriculum (they build their own, though). We considered it, but the tuition is $10k/yr/child ... can't afford it!
I think the concept is great. If you're not familiar with homeschooling, you'll first need to look at your state's laws and guidelines to make sure this curriculum fits. You'll also need to consider the learning styles and ages of the children you'll be teaching. If you think those are in line with this curriculum, I say go for it. I really like the concept.
