Went to a used homeschool book sale tonight. I'd pretty much written off going at all, and then forgotten it was today until one of my friends posted on FB about it. So, since hubby had to work (I'd forgotten) and we couldn't go to Target and do some registry shopping, I had him take me by there instead.

I arrived 45 minutes before it was set to be over, and folks were packing up to leave. Not a big surprise, but still kind of upsetting. LOL

Anyway. Didn't really have much in mind I'd have gotten, but the ONE thing I wanted I found!

Math-U-See! Both Beta and Epsilon levels, just the teacher sets, for $10 each. Plus I picked up What to Expect the Toddler Years, Dr. Sears' Baby Book, and a book on TWINS even! Those were all $2 each.

I'm super excited! Now all I need is student books and fraction overlays, and we're set! Plus I got some books I'd been hoping to buy, hoping to read, and hoping to find a good resource on. And the TWINS book was from the same mom who had the Sears book, so chances are I'll love it.

had to share!

Coooool! There are several of those coming up in this area, but I'm kinda afraid to go. I already have my shopping list set in stone, and I'm afraid I'll find this and that and this and that and .... spend way too much money on stuff I'll never actually use.

I actually do pretty well at used sales, especially if I have a list. If I know what I'm looking for, it's easier to just cruise over the tops of the tables and only stop if I see something I know I need.

It's the new, shiney stuff that sometimes grabs me. It can't grab me over a certain dollar amount, but if the price is decent and it sparkles then it's mine.

That and literature. I'm a book junkie.

That's great! We pretty have everything but Langauge Arts. I just got the Rod and Staff Student Books I ordered this week. My older sister "D" gave me her TM, blanklines, flashcards and drill book. It helps to have an older sister that homeschools so she can pass stuff down to us.

There is a homeschool curriculum convention next month, I may go to it and find something for Language Arts.
