I posted on the Introduce Yourself sticky...but wanted to say hi over here. I'm Christine. I have a 5 year old daughter, who was 5 on Feb 1st and a son who will be 3 at the end of June. I'm totally new to homeschooling and while I do have an El. Ed. degree, STILL find myself feeling out of my element! Just want to say, "hi!" and I look forward to becoming a part of your community.
Im Hillarie and I have 3 boys. Connor turned 6 the end of March...we've been doing Kindergarten things with him this year and will venture into more new territory this fall.
Avery is nearly 4 and Im going to work in pre-K stuff for him this fall as well.
Devinn is 2 and will just come along for the ride LOL, he loves to learn with his brothers.
Im still new myself and figuring stuff out but Ill be happy to help anyway I can.
~My thanks to *Kiliki* for the siggy and Lucy S for the blinkies~
I'm Tara. I only started posting on here fairly recently, too, although I'm kind of old to "JM." I've got 4 kids... homeschooling my 6 (almost 7) yr old who will be in 2nd this fall, and my 5 (almost 6) yr old who will starting 1st this fall.
Mom to Titus (10), Isaiah (8), Noelle (6), Joel (4), Hannah (2), and baby due Sept 10!
I'm from Ohio. I used to be on JM back in '06 and '07 while we were going through infertility and my pregnancy with my son, but then wandered so its been a long time! Anyway, I don't think I have to do anything for Kindergarten in Ohio, as far as telling the school that I'm homeschooling, so I THINK I'm in the clear with that until next year. But I think starting then I will have to do the whole 900 hours thing.
Ahhh...I'm sure I will have plenty of questions, wondering whats normal, etc as time goes on.
