Welcome to the board! Looking forward to getting to know you. I'm Chrystal. My oldest is starting 2nd grade this week (year-round). My youngest is doing his best to drive me crazy (but then I guess my oldest fits that category, too. )

Welcome! I'm new as well. I'm Christine and my daughter, Molly is doing a mixture of kindergarten and 1st grade work. I also have a son, Evan, but he's just shy of 3. I also look forward to getting to know you!

Thanks Chrystal, my degree is in Criminal Justice, I also have a post bacc certificate in premed, so I am divided between taking the MCAT's or going for the doctorate, for now I am just taking the rest of the year to think it out .

Thanks Jenn, all the best with that, I've found that year round actually works best for my brood, they would become too restless with no school work to do.

Both sound fun to me. I've always kinda half-joke and half-serious said I'll be a doctor by the time I'm 50. My degree is in music (science minor), so I'd have to do a LOT of undergrad catching up before any grad school would accept me. At least homeschooling all through high school will help me be able to CLEP out of things I didn't take the first time around, right? Maybe the boys and I can go to college at the same time. (Mom, noooo! Go away! )

We are probably gonna go year round but not for every subject. Right now Im focused on his reading so we will continue working on that and writing throughout the summer.
