I have decided that at least 4 days a week I am getting 30 minutes to myself.. I run the kids around like crazy, teach and work.. I'm burning the candle at both ends and the middle..lol..I need this..the kids need me to have this..so tonight we got home..I made dinner and I left... Eric got them fed and put 2 of the 3 younger ones to bed ( they had gotten in trouble in acrobatics and sent to bed early) and then took Taejan with him to go work out... I am now sitting here with my grilled chicken salad and have even more quiet (only the teen is here/awake)... I already feel refreshed!

I usually get one night a week to myself, but it's for grocery shopping. Doesn't sound relaxing, but actually, I love it. I'm the type that has a printed, store-order shopping list. I have everything arranged in a particular way in the cart. I'm so... uptight?... about the way I shop, that it's VERY relaxing to go by myself late at night when the only ones there are stockers.

I used to like grocery shopping and such as my "alone" time..but the more kids I had and the older they got the less that was a treat... plus 90% of the time I have them in tow because of our work schedules.. for me it's just no longer the time for myself I need to be a better mom..

I try to take 8 pm to 10 pm as just mine after 8 Miguel's not allowed out of his room it's parent's time . However it's hard for dh to give me alone time too. So I only actually get it 2-3x a week.

Eric works from 8-10pm.. and from 5:30am-4:30 pm..finding any time alone is nearly impossible..lol.. and I wanted to make it so I was getting more exercise..so this is perfect.. and now I put an audio book on my ipod touch so I can "read" while getting some time alone!

Oh goodness! I would give an arm and a leg to get out of the house by myself! My hubby works 7 days a week, and that's just not in the cards for me.

I put the kids in their rooms for nap/quiet time after lunch for an hour. I try not to do cleaning and stuff during that hour and to just relax and do something on my own.

Good for you, I really need to do this too. I am thinking that I am going to get a gym membership and hit the gym in the morning before dh leaves for work. I have to do something or I am going to burn-out.
