Traci just called. She has just been informed that they are recommending a stem cell transplant for Joey. Once they beat the disease into remission, he will be transferred to a transplant unit where they will harvest his stem cells, kill the stem cells in his body with high doses of chemo/radiation, then do the transplant. This will be another LONG and VERY expensive hospital stay. Pray for Traci and DJ's strength. Pray for Joey to pull through all this. Pray that they are able to come up with the money for this.

So far, the chemo has hit Joey hard. He's still playing but is not eating at all.

Oh, nooooo!! This is the second time someone from one of my PRs has needed the transplant. Thankfully the first went well. It'll be a hard couple of years for sure.
