Have you seen the "more" starfall site or the kindergarten curriculum kit? Interesting! I've seen the links many times, but only today did I bother to click on them.

I definitely won't get the K curriculum. It's WAY too expensive, it teaches Darwin for science, and it's way too much like the site. Why pay more?

I love the more.starfall.com site though! It's only $35, so I'll definitely get it for Daniel... probably when he turns 2. He already knows all the letters and sounds, but it's still fun to play with the letter page. He likes Zac the Rat, but I don't want to push him into the reading page. I'd rather let him know it's there and let him ask for it when he wants it. He's already figuring out CVC words on his own. I'll let him continue until he's stumped (probably double vowels or certain blends like th and ph). He's counting to 10, but he doesn't recognize numbers or use a 1 to 1 relationship very well, so that'll really help having the "more" site. It also has songs and stuff. Cool!

I know there are great preschool kits out there, but I like for preschool to be a time of exploration. Starfall is so fun that you don't realize you're learning. That's how it should be... especially in the early years.
