Playtime!

Here's where we talk about anything we want to.... not homeschool related. Good, bad, silly, whatever. Talk about you. Talk about kids. Talk about weather. Get to know each other a little better.

I'll start -

Some of you know this, and some don't. Daniel has been running a fever every day since August 2009. He's been tested for one thing after another after another. The latest results came on Monday. The doc is getting a second opinion from hematology and immunology. He gets sick a lot, and for a while, he was IgG deficient, but it seems he slowly outgrowing that. The only thing we've found so far is mild neutropenia when well and severe neutropenia when sick. He *might* be given injections while sick to boost his neutrophils, but we're waiting on the doc to get her consult opinions back first. I imagine we'll probably just do more testing.

Hmm, lets see, I spent the morning online ordering supplies for something we aren't supposed to talk about in this thread lol, and then I went out to stain/waterproof the kid's playset sections before we put it back together. Now I am sunburnt and exhausted!!!!

Miguel is going away for about 6 weeks. Fathers day and My birthday are coming up while he's gone so I have to plan a nice night out for father's day. DH just bought me a new marriage necklaces and made me one because the one he ordered took to long. I'm starting to color again and plan to take up painting while Miguel's gone

Well DH and I are in Boise this week. His main offices are up here so this is where his bosses are. His bosses encouraged him to bring me so that I could see the area. They really want him to take a job up here so they are hoping I will like the area enough to move here. The girls are spending the week with Grandma (the inlaws) and I am sure they are getting spoiled.

I have an inspection to show up for tomorrow with a client and I am NOT looking forward to seeing the sellers or listing agent, blah! On the plus side this means that my clients are one step closer to closing on their house and me getting a check! Woohoo!

Oh and dh will be starting 12 hours overnights on Sunday and I am very happy! He's been working swing shift and it is not for our family.

Wish my house would sell! Everyone says the same thing... great house, but it backs to a busy road. (A road which wasn't there when we built it. We were lied to. We were told it would be open land with a pond and stuff. )

So, the inspection was rescheduled once AGAIN! It is now scheduled for Monday but they of course had to call me super early to cancel so I've been up for too long and am soooo tired today! Oh well, at least I got a little work done and a little grocery shopping.

BensMom - How far is the house from the road? My house I just sold was backed up to a freeway (about 100ft).

It's *on* the road. The fenced backyard backs to it. It's a 4 lane divided road (not highway, but in town and fairly busy at times).

We finally got our new stove today. We had been waiting since Monday for it. I am going to make homemade calzones for dinner to try out the new stove.

My Dad was in the hospital for an outpatient procedure this morning and all is well. He is home resting. I am glad his results were good.

We have had alot of rain the last 20 days and now we have huge mosquitos around here. They bite my youngest the most. Poor baby took a bath yesterday and fell asleep after dinner.

We have been staying indoors the last few days avoiding the humid heat and bugs. Hopefully the weather will be better next week.

My husband was diagnosed with liver cancer yesterday.
Our family is a bit on the frazzled side right now.
Taking things a day at a time right now cuz I dont know whats next other than a few more tests to confirm things.

well, I didn't accomplish much today.

My dh has a job interview tomorrow morning. He has been unemployed for 18 months now. SW Ohio was hit really hard with job losses. My dh's company laid off 8000 people. they all worked in 2 counties. We now have the top 2 highest unemployment rates with almost 18%......
He went to trade school last summer and can't even get a job with his new schooling. IT STINKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
otherwise, things are looking up!

Thanks for the concerns.

They still have to do the biopsy to know what stage its in and such, hoping to get that appt scheduled today.

Both his parents died from cancers so it runs very heavily in his family. We are just shocked and dismayed.

His back has been an issue for nearly 4 yrs now, like to the point of needing surgery to fix it or he could be in a wheelchair but now this trumps that even though they've found thats worsened by quite a bit and are gonna do a bone scan this Saturday for that.

Its what my mom would refer to as a "mell of a hess".

Im tired, my two littlest boys wake up between 530a and 6a every day and I wasnt sleeping so well last night so Im pooped.

We finally got Ben's camp schedule in the mail! (Just for session 1) His 3 classes will be on sharks, TX critters, and medieval stuff. He'll have to carry a folder, switch classes (between floors!) and all that. Weird! I'm sure he'll figure it out, though.

I am sorry Hillarie. I will keep your family in prayer.

Jaime, I hope your husband's job interview goes well. My hubby lost his job in August and all he has been able to find is temporary employment. He is still looking for a job.
