I was at a kids consignment shop sale today, everything was 50% off and I found FIAR vol. 1 in excellent condition for only 50 cents!!! I flipped through it and I think we will probably use it a little bit, but defnitely not for our whole curriculum.

Just wanted to share! I love good deals!

Very nice! There's a thrift store near our house that carries homeschool stuff regularly. I've collected about half the 1st grade ABeka readers, and a bunch of other things from there, and I don't think I've spent more than $10 yet! I love finding stuff like that!

That a great deal. I wish our local kids consignment shop had deals like that.

I just googled the local thrift/consignment stores around here so I can stop in and see what I might find. I am searching for a school desk. I LOVE going into thrift stores, so many treasures!!

I plan on stopping by our local FEAST store and see what they have in their local clearance section (they have paperback books for 50 cents and hardbacks for a dollar).
