Hi ladies

I am really interested in purchasing a CD-Rom HS program for next year. I am looking into AOP Switched on Schoolhouse and Monarch but pretty pricey.. any other ideas?

TIA
Farrah

Does it have to be a CD-Rom, or could it be just computer based? What grades? Do you want all subjects to come from the same source (like boxed kits for textbooks would), or can they come from different sources?

Have you looked at Homeschool Curriculum Excellence - Robinson Self-Teaching Homeschool Curriculum yet? I haven't looked at it lately, but if I remember right, it's $200 for the entire K-12 package, and the only other thing you have to buy are Saxon math books.

SOS is on sale for 20% off this month and 15% next month. You can usually get a discount code by going to the Duggar Family website (19 kids & counting), but since everything's on sale right now, there's not a special code (that I'm aware of).

Monarch is internet based and is, basically, Switched on Schoolhouse, just delivered a different way. That's the only one I know of that is on CD-Rom except for Teaching Textbooks (math only) and some high school level things. SOS and TT both begin at 3rd grade.

I think I may go with SOS it seems to have what we are looing for. DS is great with computers and since we will be in Egypt again next year for 2 months i think it is most reasonable. now I will only have to take work books for DD. thanks for the help.

The thing with SOS too is that you can use it with your DD too. One CD set can be used within the same family by 5 different children, so that is some cost savings too.
