I'm going to hold off until fall because he was using Math as an excuse not to do other subjects (i'll admit it, i did too on days when i had a migraine or something and didn't feel like "teaching"...he self directs most stuff but i have to look over shoulder more for other classes)... So now he's behind in his other classes. He *just* finished 1st semester's Language Arts book like a week or two ago (semester ended mid January).
I'm hoping to figure out a better routine (and STICK TO IT!! hehe) next year so that he can move up in classes rather than being behind. I wouldn't mind it if he was behind because he didn't get it and needed extra help. Since it's not, it bothers me.
Thanks. I *think* I've found a good one for us now. One subject per day blocks. The only down side is that if you don't get Language Arts timed just right, have the possibility of getting new spelling words and taking the test in the same day. So I'll have to figure out how to avoid that. LOL
