Hi! First off my name is Ashley. I have a son who will be 6 next month, a daughter who will be 4 in December and #3 is due 2/1. We will begin hs'ing this year. My son will be in Kindergarten and dd for preschool.

It is not necessary for us to have a school name but i really would like one. I'd like one for an id card for discounts, and just so the kids have a place to call theirs if that makes sense. I am however having a very difficult time coming up with something creative! I don't want our last name Academy or whatever. So what are your school names if you have one? How did you come up with them? Thanks!

PS. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions over the next few months!

I am a newbie too, so I don't have any input on this one, but what a good question.. I was wondering the same thing as well. How do you get a id card?

Camian Academy. Cam from Cameron and ian from Ani. Their ID cards are provided by Calvert School so they don't have Camian Academy IDs right now. They will when they are in high school (Calvert only goes to 8th grade).

You make ID cards yourself ;-P

Free Homeschool ID Card - For Teachers and Students - Homeschool Buyers Co-op This is where I was going to make mine through. Although could just as easily make your own. i just liked their layout and the "professional" ism of it. You can choose to print and laminate self (free) or have them send you one laminated ($7 for first card and $5 after)

How about "Bright Starts", "Friendship Academy", "Shining Star Academy", "Chatterbox School", "Apple Academy" or "Our Town School"? Just some ideas - I have seen these as daycare names lol.

Hi Ashley, nice to see you here!
I think there's one other mama on this board who's also on the feb board too

Our school has a silly name, just for fun
G-n-G Academy (it stands for giggles and grins and no I didn't get it from Huggies that was the name of my business years and years ago-but it quite suits my little goobers, lol)

Welcome! We went with last name Academy which is fairly boring but I wanted something that would be professional on a diploma/applications in the future.

I'm also due in Feb and have a K and preschooler
