Does anyone know of a basic elementary level spanish course that's good? Miles has expressed an interest in it and I think he would enjoy it. He's 3rd grade level. I remember a TINY bit, I took spanish 1 and 2 in high school but that was a little over 10 years ago and I just barely slid by after a case of mono my second year! I would enjoy learning a little again myself!

I haven't used it, but I've heard excellent things about Spanish for Children from Classical Academic Press. I've used Latin for Children by them and we liked it a whole lot.

We are using Rosetta Stone and really love it. Our library has is available to check out for three weeks at a time so we did that for a few months to make sure it would be a good fit for our kids. They loved it so we got the full homeschooling version for Christmas.

I agree with classical academic press. We're using latin, but all of our IRL friends are using spanish. They love it.

Getting Started With Spanish? I haven't used it but I use Getting Started with Latin by the same author and am beyond thankful I made the purchase. It has been probably the best place I could start and I'll be using it with DS when he's about 3rd grade. It's for all ages so not specifically geared at children the way the CAP products are.
