My copy of Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons came today so Monday we are starting our new semester. Last semester we focused on letter and number recognition and letter sounds (well Leap Frog Letter Factory worked on the sounds with her-and taught them to her as well lol) and I feel we have them down pretty good. This semester we are working on reading, writing the letters, and some simple math. I am not using a curriculum, just doing the 100 Easy Lessons book and finishing up the Horizon's pre-k level 1 workbook. Depending on how she is at the end of the semester we might go ahead and jump to kindergarten next year, but that is still a long ways to decide.

Lurking here but I just wanted to say that I have LOVED that book. I used it to teach my son to read last year and I am now using it with my 3 year old. Not only is it super easy to use, but both of my children really enjoy their reading lessons. Great book!

That's the book my mom used to teach me how to read, and now I'm using it with my daughter. She's doing really well!
