Hi and welcome.

Your dd is about a month older then mine It's a bit hard to say as you don't say where your dd is at accademicly. Kids at this age vary a lot! With my dd who is not one of those academicly inclined kids I make up letter themes and use Five In A Row (FIAR) and do 'school' as she wants. This is mostly made up of reading, craft and games.
I've read that Quebec has some hard homeschooling laws So from compulsery age I'm not sure what you are allowed to use.

Welcome!
It's always good to see new faces here! I just started homeschooling last year with my three children in 4th, 1st and 2nd, so I can't really share with you what I did for mine at that age. I didn't send them to preschool, so I basically homeschooled them for that just using the books that I got from different places. Comprehensive Curriculum (I bought it at SAM's) is WONDERFUL. Mine all did great when tested for Kindergarten, so it covered what it needed to.
Welcome again!!

Hmm those links are kind of vague and don't tell you much do they. I hope that, that is how it is. What I read about Quebec sounded very different. But it wasn't an actual site, it was from someone online who said they use to live there, so.... who knows.
What you need to do is find some local home schoolers, they will know. I found this http://www.angelfire.com/mn/nevenfamily/page2.html which might help.

I wouldn't recommend Abeka but others will lol. I am not into workbooks though. There is a lot available out there but I wouldn't rush into buying. http://homeschoolreviews.com/default.aspx is my favourite curriculum review site. Also reading up on hs styles/philosophies can help narrow down your choice.
