Yesterday I took Whit to the Dr to check her throat from the mono because she kept saying it was no better. They did a finger blood test to see what was going on with it. As soon as the nurse walked out of the room from doing it, Whit got off the table and sat next to me in the chair and we were talking. Then she lays her head on my arm. I feel her start moving and jerking around and she is holding her hamds funny shaking them. I asked her what she was doing and got no reply. I yelled for help and then started laying her down on the floor. As I get her almost down I was able to grab the door knob and yank it open to yell again. This time the Drs were able to find us and came in. She had a seizure. I have never been so terrified before!!
Oh now, poor little girl. How is she feeling today? Any better?
This year just has not been the year for your family. I really hope things start to pick up soon for you all.
She had no fever at all. He said that he thinks she still has a sore throat because she has a sinus infection. Said she should be feeling better by today. She still has a bad sore throat but doesnt want to go because she is afraid of the finger prick.
He said he thinks the seizure was just her reaction to the finger prick and because she is worn down from being sick. I dont know... The whole thing has just really bothered me. Through everything I have ever been through with all of them, this was the one time that I was truely scared to death for her. Everyone seems to say not to worry about it unless ut happens again. Really.... UGH!!! I dont want to think about a next time! I couldnt imagine seeing my kid do this on a regular basis!!
