I was also set to order Sonlight for next year....Core B and Singapore for math. I love the idea of a literature based curriculum, and I just really thought it would be a good fit. I just downloaded the three week sample though, and now I'm not so sure that it is what I want. While we are a Christian family, that is not while I am homeschooling my kids, and that is not what I want the focus of their education to be. Matt and I already take the kids to church and teach them what we want them to know at home...I don't need the curriculum doing that for me. It just seemed a little over the top, you know?
Soo...back to the drawing board I guess. I still like Singapore for math, so that is something at least.
I actually did that for the kids in preschool, and we really loved in. In fact maybe I'll be Volume II for Carrie and Katy. The hardest part was that quite a few of their books were out of print and hard to find. It wouldn't be enough for Matt and Beth though...I want something pretty solid for them.
I don't recommend Sonlight. We used it for three years. I wouldn't do that again.

I would suggest Learning Language Arts through literature and All Through The Ages for history. All Through the Ages even has some science included and offers more resources than Beautiful Feet and is broken up nicely by age and period.
