I just don't see how it can get anymore hot and humid. We are in a heat advisory. It is 97F now with a high of 101F today. It feels a lot hotter than that. The kids are all in the pool...about the only thing they can do out there. I have the water sprinkler going into it as well because the heat has the pool water feeling like bath water if I don't add to it.
We have a weekend family reunion at the lake. I know it is going to be way to hot. I am going to take the water sprinkler so that anytime they are outside they can have the option of getting wet. "sigh" I love summer, but oh my. August is usually our hottest month...I can't imagine!!!

Yikes!! Where are you located? I am in IL and it is currently 93 degrees and supposed to reach 99. We too are under a heat advisory. It is days like this that I am so thankful that we are blessed and have air conditioning. My heart goes out to the people who don't have a way to get cool. I asked my grandmother how they did it without A/C, especially when having small children or babies around and she said they were just plain miserable.

These are the days I am glad to be in Michigan and not back home in Florida. Of course, we have no AC so sometimes Florida seems appealing.

It was 101 today shery! What the heck? Whew!

I just checked and they have it back down to 98 degrees with possible rain. I can only hope. They said it could be 103 tomorrow!

Hi,
I am in Louisiana. You know, I think it is hotter now even than it was when we were kids. I don't remember it getting so hot out that we couldn't play out there. It is like that sometimes for my kids now even as much as they love it outside. They sometimes have to stay wet to be out there. I think the humidity and all gets worse every year.

We also have the heat advisory here in VA. We're supposed to hit 103 today. Plus we have like 672% humidity (or at least that's what it feels like). Thank goodness for air conditioning!

It's been miserably hot here in Texas, too. And we don't even have a pool. The kids are getting so restless, too because it's just too darn hot to do anything outside.

I'm sure that the neighbors thought I was crazy today because I was out in the front yard with The Kids and we were ALL playing in the sprinkler! (Either they thought I was crazy or just went ahead and poked their eyes out at the sight of me in my swimming suit!)
I think I'm going to go up to Wal Mart and get a Slip N Slide. Something, anything to make the day seem cooler!!
Jo, could you send some snow or something?
