Anything exciting?

Dh is taking Daniel on a father/son road trip. Ben's having a friend stay for a sleepover. I'm chillin' out, mostly just working on VBS stuff (for Aug 6th).

Not a lot, there is a 25,000 acre fire in state and my dh is working on it until it is contained. The kids and I will probably hang out at home n the AC. Since it is suppose to be 110 this weekend.

Jamie's in the middle of a 12 day business trip (on the heels of a 3 day one last week) so it's just me and the kids. Tomorrow afternoon my mom and I are donating blood. Tomorrow night we have a church beach party. Sunday is church.

Today I spent several hours working in the yard. Both my hands are now blistered, I about passed out in the heat, and I'm still not happy with the state of the yard, lol.

After that I packed the kids up and took them to the swimming pool. That was fantastic, but I am now burnt to a crisp. Usually I'm good about the sunscreen.

Now I am cooking dinner for a friend who had a new baby. She also has a toddler, a preschooler, and a deployed husband. The fact that she is still getting around with a smile on her face makes her my new hero I think.

After I deliver that I can finally rest in my nice air conditioning.

Tomorrow we have church. We are also getting ready for VBS this week.

Ended up taking Ben to see Spiderman this afternoon. He cried at the end, but overall, he liked it. He doesn't know it yet, but I'm taking him to 6 Flags for the Read to Succeed thing on Tuesday. Dh is coming home with Daniel tomorrow. They went to the children's museum & circus in Houston today.
