What are your kids doing besides the usual school stuff? Ben is doing piano and bowling league. Daniel just started gymnastics today. Ben loved watching Daniel so much that he's thinking about switching to gymnastics in the Spring. I'm not so sure... I think he should stick with bowling, personally.

Leah starts a pre-ballet dance class in October. It only lasts for 6 weeks, but if she enjoys it, we'll do another round in the winter.

Right now, Allison is too young for anything local (even dance classes don't start until 3). But next summer she will do a dance class and we will add soccer, and 4H as she gets old enough.

my kids are too little for anything much, they do have some parent participation programs but unfortunately with 2 (3 soon) and just me home with them during the day those arent an option, but hopefully in the fall we will be able to put Ross in some sport or other activity. Id really like to do Scouts which starts at age 5 and Dh wants the boys to do lacrosse but i think that doesnt start till 5 either

We really want to do scouts, but we don't have time. We also want to do karate, but it's too expensive. We've also been invited to join a HS chess club, but it's on the same day as Ben's therapy and my work meeting every week.

Addi is in gymnastics but that is all for now. She also wants to play baseball (real baseball with the boys she says) and we might start that in the spring. I am still praying that my little brother will get to come stay with us in the spring semester and if he does he wants to coach her first t-ball team.

Soccer just finished up for the summer not long ago, and Alyssa's dance classes will be starting up again the end of the month- she takes tap, jazz, and ballet.

Nope.
Piano is part of our curriculum(since I teach them). I'd like to add guitar(and they want it as well), but I need a new guitar first. Hopefully around Christmas.

We don't do anything else. We live in the middle of nowhere, no public transportation even if there were things like dance/gymnastics and such near us, and I have to rely on others to get rides places. So, activities are out of the question.
Frankly, they all cost way too much, imo, for what you get. It's just not worth it. The things I have looked into-which aren't really local to me, since there isn't anything local, the prices are just ridiculous. Dance/Gymnastics is a few hundred per X amount of weeks, plus all outfit costs, plus all travel costs/entry fees if they participate in anything at all. That's per kid, with no discount. Yeah, that's not happening.
Leo did cub scouts but even that ended up being so costly-despite being told "we have financial assistance available" for this, that, and the other...which in the end turned out they did not. Stupid if you ask me.
Girl scouts is exactly the same.
I hate it.
(lol, can you tell the cost of things is a huge thorn in my side?)

Elizabeth is in Gymnastics and that's it right now. We feel overscheduled as it is!

The girls are normally in soccer but we took this season off but they will pick up the winter season since they are skipping fall. We are still debating what else to add.

Beth and Matt play on a soccer team, take swim lessons, attend Art, PE, and robotics classes through the co-op, and go to AWANAS at church.

Little Carrie goes to the same PE class as well as AWANAS.

Nothing for baby Katy yet.

Tristan does karate and cub scouts. I would like to also add in piano lessons (he would prefer violin so we might do that instead).

Logan isn't doing anything right now but in the Spring we hope to get him into Tball and next Fall he can join cub scouts. The girls are still too little to really do anything yet.

Rebecca (3) does AWANA, gymnastics, childrens choir, and the childrens missions group. We may occasionally drop in on the pk group they have at church.

Elias (2) does AWANA. He may do gymnastics after Christmas.

I am working on teaching them piano (more readiness than actual playing at this age) and Scottish step dancing. Rebecca LOVES the dancing!
