I think I have finally made some curriculum decisions. I have been agnozing for weeks over this, but finally came up with a plan! Here it goes:

Evan (5th grade):

History- Sonlight Core 1+2
Reading- Winter Promise L.A.
Math- Math-U-See Epsilon
Handwriting: HWT Cursive Success
Science- partially Great Science Adventures and some stuff of my own
Philosophy- putting together my own curriculum for this
Electives- Orchestra

Maya (2nd grade):

History- Sonlight Core 1+2
Reading- Sonlight L.A.
Math- Math-U-See- Alpha
Handwriting- HWT
Science- same as Evan's
Philosophy - same as Evan's
Electives- Orchestra

possibly adding in typing and foreign language once we get a routine going

Yay, I have a plan! Now I can't wait to get started.

That is so great .
To me, making the decisions and getting the schedule down on paper is the hardest part. I know it is a relief!!! I have been working with my lesson plans for Science today. I'm hoping to get started in about three weeks...when the public school starts back! We'll see!!
Good going!

Your plan sounds great I am curious if you are doing anything for geography for grade 5?

In addition, you dont appear to have anything for language arts/spelling or does the Winter Promise cover that?

geography, language arts, and spelling are all included in the Sonlight and WinterPromise pkgs. at least I think they are, I guess I'll have to double check to be sure.

It sounds great to me! I'll have to check out Winter Promise. I have never heard of it. Do you have a link to it?

I've seen Winter Promise popping up all over the place. Seems to be very popular.
