Hi! My name is Amanda. I've decided to homeschool my kids (a 5th grader and two 3rd graders) this year. We moved to a small town last year (school has 30 kids total). I wasn't happy with the school. My kids were being taught things they learned the previous year at their old school. We are planning on moving to the area where I grew up next year and they have much better schools. But for right now, I'm hoping homeschooling will be a good choice. My husband and I both drive buses for a school district about 30 minutes away. We are gone from about 5:30-8:30 am and 1:30-4:30 pm. I am hoping that still leaves me plenty of time during the day for homeschooling. We've picked out a online curriculum and I'm planning on getting everything organized next week. I'm also wondering if anyone has ever gone from homeschooling back to public schools and how the transition went.
