Well, it wasn't as bad as I thought! We did, saxon math, saxon phonics, and her sight words workbook. The math is a little behind her so we did 2 lessons instead of 1 but she got to use the linking cubes and loved them and enjoyed drawing animals on the worksheet! Phonics was a little dry, but only did 1 lesson and hoping it gets better! Sight words we have been doing for a few days and shes up to 15 that she knows extreamly good! Overall I'd say it was a good day. I did go through and got everything ready 4 tommorrow though as I wasn't to organized today
I remember our very first day every. My kids still say that it was the most exciting. I hope it continues to go well. I'm like you....like to have it planned out ahead of time!
Good luck tomorrow. We will be starting back a week from tomorrow. One more week of break!

Awww, now you've got me thinking back to OUR first day of kindergarten!! *wipes a tear from eye*
We went to the library and got her her own library card, then went out to Panera to have a celebratory bagel with DH, who was on vacation that week. When we got home, we did some number workbook pages (learning the numbers 1 and 2!) and some other workbook - I can't remember the exact activity. I DO remember, though, when we got done, sitting back and thinking, "Wow, it's official...we're a homeschooling family!"
