Hi. I live in East Tennessee. I am a work-from-home Mommy to Jesse (8) and Hannah (4). I have been married to Les for 14 years. Les and I are fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and we've been teaching the kids ASL since birth. They are very quick learners and we attibute much of this to the fact that they learned a second language at an early age. We love our daily routine. We love homeschooling. We are excited for Daddy to 'retire' from his office job in about 6 months. He might just throw a wrench in our relaxed daily lifestyle but I guess it'll be worth it to have the flexibility to 'study abroad'. We are planning to go to a foreign area (other areas in US we've not been before and other countries) for about a month every 5 or 6 months for the culture and to volunteer. I hope we can deal with the schedule change. I guess we'll have to take it one step at a time and see how it goes. Any great spots you'd recommend to study???

Pam

Australia of course lol How lucky are you guys, and what a wonderful opertunity for your kids. I'm sure it's an experience they wont forget.
If you did come here I would go to the reef, Ayers Rock, Port Arthur down in Tassie and the DainTree rainforest. That would give you green lushness, dry red desert, heat, cold, biology, history and culture. If you had time I would also go viset the Opera house on the way down or back from Port Arthur, and for fun viset some of our "enormous" tourist places such as the Big Pineapple and Big banana. Oz has more of these things then any other country.
