This is our third year of officially homeschooling
We always send in all the info to the school committee, and we state in our letter of intent that we would like to receive approval in writing. We never get any word from them, all the other homeschooling mothers in my town all said "oh they never send approvals." This is irritating especially since I am now hearing that colleges are asking for proof of approval.

Well this year I got one...in the mail today Heck the letter came before the signature card did LOL

Oh, I would be JUST LIKE YOU. If it were something that I was supposed to have then I wouldn't be able to make peace with not having it.
Yippee that you got it!!

Nice, congrats!

I've been impatiently waiting for my curriculum approval to come back. It's our first year officially homeschooling (tho we've been at it since birth ), so I'm a bit nervous as to whether I filled out all of the forms up-to-par or not. They said it would take 14 days to hear back from them, and it's been 16... but they may mean business days, in which case who knows how long it could take!

We only have until October 1st for our forms to be approved before it will not be considered a full year of schooling, so I'm hoping to hear from them soon so that I can make any adjustments that might be needed in time to go through the process again. Of course, my son is 2 grade levels ahead of where he should be anyhow, so I probably don't have much to worry about, but being a first-timer, I still am!

I don't think it's small beans either! I like having everything in writing. I was so excited to get my written approval this year (our first year homeschooling), I fought back thoughts to frame it, ROFL! CONGRATS!!!!!
