I was terrified of this day! I was so scared, I just pushed the importance of this date on my calendar far far out of my mind everytime it came up. What the hell am I thinking that I can homeschooly my daughter without ruining her forever? Furthermore, how will I do it with 2 smaller kids around? How could I be so stupid?! I can't send her to traditional school though, I just can't- the thought sends me into an even deeper anxiety attack!
Thankfully though, our move over the weekend made me SO tired that I didn't have time to stress!
Today went great! School went so smoothly; it was so natural. The younger kids played nicely while we did Math. I gave them a bath while Madison worked independantly on handwriting, and the younger kids watched Barney during Spelling. We took a break to play, eat some lunch and finished up school with Language Arts while Anika & Corbin took naps. It was great! We loved it! I don't expect everyday to go this smoothly, but this was the perfect momentum we needed to start this year off. Yaay!
Here is my happy First Grader now:
