my son hates book work and loses focus extermaly easily. Every time he completes a page of his books in 30 minutes he gets a paper dollar. every time he reads a book he gets a paper dollar, and every time he does extra workbook pages he gets a paper dollar. When He gets 100 paper dollars he gets to pick our feildtrip.
for his consentration we desided if he was just way to destracted and needs to get back on track. He'll do a mind numming activity. That way he's Doing somthing that you don't really have to think but you have to consentrate.
Also my husband wants us to unschool more. He feels he will learn how to read, do math, and love learning because of the type of parents we are. DH swalows books whole, and we're both taking minors in math. He understands my conserns with the documantation of the portfolio and testing. Which we'll have to investigate more.
Also my SIL is playing school with him where he's the teacher teaching HER to read write and do math. Hopfully this works and .there's less frustration.
