I am having a hard time scheduling and getting everything done. It is very important to me that my kids do stuff this year besides sit in the house. I have the boys signed up for a gym class on Thursday at the same place/time as a gymnastics class for the girls on Thursday. This has worked out nice, but it is an hour drive. Then Austin has cross country, which is killing me! It's just about every day of the week it seems. Well 3 or 4 days a week anyways. I am planning to sign my other two boys up for tennis as well.

Now, here's my dilemna. How do I get all my school done by 1 pm? I can't seem to do it. I can get all the core stuff done, but I am trying to start on using Learning Adventures and I just can't seem to do it. It's a unit study and I can't seem to get it in.

Wow, I don't know if I could get my three done by that time. I try to have all of the main subjects done by lunch, but still have the Science and Social Studies. Also, sometimes, we just don't finish the other.
I know what you mean, though, about wanting them to have the other stuff. I just don't know what I would do. Even when Madison went to gymnastics three days a week, it was after 3 before she went each time. Is there any way you could get later times?

Could you do core 4 days a week, and keep one day for the unit. Or could you shorten each lesson in your core, or combine some into your unit?

My three kids each have lots of extra activities. The only way I could fit it all in was to schedule some schoolwork for weekends and to do stuff with the kids during the time one is in an activity. For instance my youngest had violin lessons earlier and my son and I studied a book on our government system while we were waiting. While he's a fencing my daughter and I will take math or reading and do that together while we wait. It was the only way I could fit everyones schedules together. Last year I tried just finishing up earlier but all that happerned was that we started falling behind in our schoolwork.
