I am not sure if this is where i should post this or if i should post this at all but i was just wondering if someone can help me with a few questions i have...

i live in North Carolina and i have a younger sister that is 16 years old and married a Marine...She is wanting to drop out of school because of the pain she is going through public school and everyone talking. She thought she could handle it but she couldnt. I emailed a woman at the NCHE and asked her if i could possibly homeschool my sister myself and she said yes if i have a high school diploma, which i do...

Does any of you ladies happen to know anything about homeschooling in North Carolina that you can tell me. Do you know of any requirements that i must have? Is there a test i must take?

I just want to know you ladies opinions...

Thanks in advance!

here is a link for the homeschooling laws in NC. http://www.hslda.org/laws/default.asp?State=NC
It says there attendence is mandatory from 7 through to 16... so if she is already 16 I think the laws don't apply. She is legally able to leave school. I would think she would want either a boxed curriculum or a online school that ended with in a high school diploma.
I found this http://www.keystonehighschool.com/programs...4&wt.srch=1 which might be the sort of thing she would want to do.
