My little son decided on a Rooster costume this year. So this is how it turned out!

CUTE!!! I'm impressed.

I am making Madison a poodle skirt and dressing her like a child in the 50's.
Patrick is wearing a superhero outfit complete with the big hands, feet and mask.
Carter wants to wear his new sombraro that we got him from Mexico, so he will carry maracas and wear a Mexican throw (which I still have to find!)

I will sew Madison's poodle on her skirt on the way to Ark. this weekend. We are going on the group's singing bus, so I will have a lot of downtime to get it done. Other than that...I just have to find the Mexican throw .

Great job!!!!

You could try the two costume shops here. I suggest the one in antique alley as that one on Wells road is EVIL! Don't take the kids! Eek!

All I can say is....wow! I'm amazed! How long did it take you to make that?!?
Reilly's going to be an angel and I just bought 2 yards of shiny white material that I'm going to take up on the sides (leaving arm holes, of course!) and cut a slit for her head and little slits for her wing-straps to go through. Then I'm "making" a belt by pinning this sequin-y stretchy stuff around her waist...and I thought I was being SO Martha Stewart!! *hangs head in shame* LOL, just kidding!
That looks SO good!! (And I LOVE LOVE LOVE his face in the last pic! Priceless!)

Lisa, you are too funny! That is a great costume! I want to see it! I have little boys so I am sure they will not want to be an angel. Well, unless they could be that angel guy from X-Men. I will just have to live through ya. A real life pal of mine is making her daughter this mermaid costume. And I am soooo jealous! I would love to have a little girl!

I don't know if I should tell you how long it took me to make the Rooster. You may start throwing things at me!
