Um as much as a love you Lisa, that is so not funny. You might not know but that comes from the Azaria Chambilin case. In the 1980's a baby was taken from a tent and eatten by a dingo out at Airs Rock. [sad.gif] I had no idea an American sit com had picked that up but it's really really not funny. It's kind of like the really bad taste segment South park has done on Steve irwin.[/b]

Oh my gosh! That is so sad! And I do not watch south park so I have no idea what those idiots did with a sweet guy like Steve.

I just saw what they showed on the current affairs programme. Aparantly its a really bad taste cartoon of Steve talking to the Devil in hell with a sting ray attached to his chest. uuugg.

Lisa. I didn't think you knew. It's just really sick that TV writters use such tragic events and think it's humerous.

I didn't know the Dingo thing was a real story. I had heard the sitcom line before. Can I still pretend that I am going to some day get one? He'll be a tame dingo!

OKlahoma huh? I'm from Georgia (pronounce JoeJa to most down here) but I am not southern sounding at all... I grew up in chicago (ya know, CHIcago)

Ok, no more time.. my critter is awake and ready for the day! Be back later!

I think people handle death in many ways and how you do it on your own is fine but you don't need to broadcast it on tv. I don't watch south park but my husband does (and he knows I HATE the show) so I did catch part of the halloween episode. I thought the Steve Erwin thing was definately inapropriate. The guy has a family and small kids (not that they would be watching SP) and you need to be considerate of that. The way you handle death on your own is your own deal. As an EMT I've seen some pretty tough stuff and what me and my coworkers might talk about or say in the fire station/hospital stays there. Some people deal with death by joking or what not but come on people, have some common decency and don't put it on tv or parade around your school rubbing it in peoples faces. Sickening!

I can't believe that someone would think it was funny to dress up as Steve Erwin like that principal did...that's just WRONG! Ug.
