I hope I am not stepping on toes..but I love to chat and post..lol

So what goals do we all have this week academically?

My goals this week:

For Noah.. that we actually get thru 5 days of his Egypt project and we get our Apples mummified. Along with a week of no stress over school work.

For Declan. We get thru a few days of HOP and make these Learning Posters work!

For Jadziah.. that I can help her learn her letters well

For Taejan..that he feels better and can be entertained well while we do school!

Honestly, and this sounds pretty sad, my goal is to get through school this week WITHOUT FIGHTING with Reilly! The last couple of weeks have been really hard and I just want a week (or even a DAY!) without us "taking it to the mat"! I've gotten a Thanksgiving curriculum that has some really fun ideas in it, so I plan to do a few of those to make things less of a drudgery, so hopefully that will help.

My personal goal is to be PATIENT!!!

I understand that.. My first month with Noah was a constant fight.. we have now settled into a groove and given his age fighting is no longer allowed..rofl.. I hope to keep Declan out of one of his Eeyore moods long enought o actually get thru a HOP lesson!

Well lets see this week Xander is concentrating on E and S both writing them and using them phoneticly for ready more words. He's so excited about that. He's just started learning how to sound out words and getting the hang of reading. In math he'll be concentrating on making sets of things up to five and writing the numbers one throug five. 6-9 are going to be introduced at the end of the week. Sometimes he thinks this is boring because he already knows how to count to 100... I have to remind him that counting and writing aren't the same thing. Tommorow is a field trip day to the Detroit Science Center and we're kind of excited about that.

Well it's 11 am and Declan has done 2 phonics lessons including reading a new book. Both Declan and Jadziah did a handwriting assignment. Noah has gotten another day checked off of his 60 day Egypt project and is now working on Spelling and Vocab. Taejan is sick so we won't get as much done as I had hoped..well Noah will because most of his stuff is independant.. but I see a nap for me this afternoon because I only slept from 11pm-2:30 this morning.. I am beat!

You could never be stepping on toes...you are one of us now!! I love seeing posts.
As for me, I want to:

1. Get our Jello Cell project done and the poster drawn up for it

2. Make our food chain mobiles

3. Of course, highlight everything off of the weekly schedules

We are trying to cram a whole weeks lessons into three days since we are leaving on Thursday for a trip to RI

Friday we are going to Plimouth Plantation

and I'm trying to find things to do in RI while we are there

DH has a business trip and we are tagging along.

I've been feeling lazy lately (or maybe it's tired since I have not been sleeping well past few nights) so my goal is to be more enthusiastic about school. I would like to get everything done on my list today, including the read-aloud which usually gets postponed so that we can do other things instead.
