From the Mouths of Babes

Oh man.. we went to the Mall for Lunch with my MIL.. after we ate we walked to the shoe store and Jadziah spotted a little boy with a harness.. she says as loud as all outdoors "Mommy..look..that boy..he's like a puppy doggie"..

OMG.. I wanted to crawl under the nearest bench.. the mom heard..I mean the whole mall heard! I calmly told her that some kids just aren't ready to listen to their mommy's so they need that to be safe..she accepted it..but is still talking about the boy that's a puppy doggie..rofl

Um lol that puppy dog kid would be my ds too. That dosn't offend me though lol. Not that we use a harness too often the pram is easier. Parents dont know how lucky they are if they have a kid that stays close. My ds would be on or across the road before you could blink.

Thanks for clearing up the name thing for me too... I've been sitting here trying to figure it out. I had Jadziah right but Taejan was a little off!

My name is Jeana (gina) and I always get called Jenna or JeAnna. So, you'd think I'd give my kid an easy name.. oh no.. we named her Dahlia (doll-e-ya) and so far she's been called Dalila and one lady called her something I can't even pronounce! haha

And back on topic...

I already have my "backpack buddy" for Dahlia. It's really cute. It's a little puppy dog backpack and I get to hold the "tail". The "tail" (leash, if you so choose to call it that) comes off so she can just wear the backpack. I'm hoping we won't need to use it much but I know if we were to go somewhere really crowded I would want to use it no matter how well she listened!

I think it's funny that your daughter said that though. Kids are so funny!!

LOL That's cute. I used one with my oldest when we went places like the zoo or somewhere crowded and I knew he would want to be free, but I didn't want him getting too far away. I always had the whole "dog on a leash" image in my head, so I ended up taking the harness off and just using the strap around both of our wrists. I don't really remember using it much with my other 2. We just wait to go to the zoo or something until my dh or someone else can go and help keep up with them.

**Just adding that it's not always because the kids don't listen. In my case, I'm just really paranoid about my kids getting snatched away from me. That can happen even if they're right there beside you, and quicker than you'd realize. I always figured, if they're attached to me, no one's getting them! Heck, I still hold my kids' hands in parking lots, etc.**
