my dd loves to read, she started the Junie B. Jones books about 3-5mos ago and has read all of the ones that are out right now.. now she is on the Ramona books... well, Does anyone know any of the series books that are good for a 4th grade (will be 4th) girl? she is 9yrs old, she loved junie b jones and ramona, so those are probably what types i am looking for. I was hoping to find some that offer things that i could find off line to intice her to write more as well... just looking for ideas... does anyone know what the age group is for "Little women" and/or "Little house on the prairie" (i am sure i spelled that wrong) anyway Good night ladies!
Sue

Little Women is for upper middle/high school. Little House on the Pairie is rated for 8-12, so she might enjoy those now. If she likes those, in addition to the Laura Ingalls Wilder written series, there are also the Rose years, Caroline years, etc. The Trixie Belden series is being reprinted and I hear they are cute. I used to love to read my mom's old The Bobbsey Twins (also now being reprinted) and my sister liked Nancy Drew. Ani likes the W.I.T.C.H. series.

I loved the Little House series about that age and Nancy Drew. And Rahld Dahl books are also really fun.

I loved Nancy Drew as well! There is a Disney Fairy series if she likes fantasy. Starts with a novel called Fairy Dust and the Quest for the Egg. There are several short chapter books now from this book. I linked to the original story and set of 4 of the subsequent short chapter books.

Fiary Dust and the Quest for the Egg

The Chronicles of Narnia series is 5th grade.

Has she read The Secret Garden and A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett?
