I got to spend the weekend with my parents. They live an hour south of us, so we try to get together on the weekends. They came up Saturday evening and spent the night and didn't go home until tonight. Eathan loves when they come up and visit. Of course b/c they spoil him rotten! I guess that's what grandparents are for. We did some shopping and hung around the house mostly, but all in all it was a nice weekend.
Awww I hate it when dh goes on an over nighter.
We had a very quiet weekend. Only plans for this week is to clean up, do some school and pack for our mini trip homeschool conference and shopping. We leave on Friday.

We laid around pretty much all weekend. Jamie's fighting getting the cold I've had and I'm trying to get rid of it for good. Jamie had to go in to work for a bit last night and tonight, but he's home now. We don't have plans this week. Ani'll be gone all week so no school. The pool opens Saturday so if it is warm enough we might go swimming. It hasn't been very warm lately so I'm not holding my breath. Jamie's statistics class started Tuesday.

We had a good weekend. Saturday was busy but fun. I had a yard sale (and made a nice bit), with my neighgbor and one other friend. Then we cleaned up from that and just relaxed and grilled steak for dinner. Sunday, we just hung around at home, laid out by the pool for a bit and DH and BIL cleaned the garage and worked in the yard some. It was nice. Nothing exciting this week, gas is too high to go out too much. We are going to run a few errands today...library, groceries and such. The rest of the week we will be home....just playing!

Our weekend was good. Thursday & Friday I was working on my niece's graduation cake. Saturday was her graduation. It was very nice! I've never been to a homeschool graduation ceremony. It was so personal! Rather than just calling the graduate's name and giving them a diploma, when their name was called they joined their parents on the stage, the parents delivered a message to their child and presented them with their diploma. Then they played a slideshow of that graduate from childhood to present. It was great! I loved it! After the graduation, we went back to the church to have my niece's party/reception. We had a good time visiting with family. Dh has been working everyday/night for probably over a month now. He was supposed to work Saturday night, but went in late so he could attend the graduation. It was so delicious spending that extra time with him! Sunday was just a lazy day relaxing.
For the week ahead, we don't really have any plans. I may take the boys to the museum tomorrow. Dh is supposed to be off next weekend. I may be able to convince him to take the boys to the zoo one day, and maybe go fishing another day. I'll have to make him grill something one night (if not all 3!). lol He hasn't been able to grill in a while because he's been working so much, and I'm craving his cooking! I'll probably spend the week planning some unit studies since the boys have decided they don't want to stop school for the summer. They want to keep on going. So I guess we'll be schooling year round taking breaks as needed. lol
Happy Homeschooling Mom to:
We have a slow week this way, thank goodness! We are all tired and fighting colds too! We had a fun weekend, we all visited a friend overnight Sat, went to see Shrek on Sunday, had swimming lessons, etc....so this week is pretty easy going. It has rained for several days so now it looks like sun is here to stay for a few days at least!
We had a great weekend. Saturday we had a bday party and the kids were able to slide down one of those blow up water slides. After that we went to my pals house for dinner. IT ROCKED! The company was good as well. When dinner was done we went downtown for some live music. The weather was so wonderful...just magical. There's my romantic side coming out again.
Sunday we went to church and I needed that message so much. After church we had an auction for our baked goods. Now that was so funny!
